I look likea mushroom b/con top its flat then it poofs out.I need adviceon stopping itfrom poofing. i also wanted ideas on how to style it, can i play with it. I need help, is there any way I can make it look sleek and stylish. Please help, I can't wait for it to grow!!!!

theres so many cute things you can do with your haircut.. just because it's shorter doesn't mean that you can't look amazing in it!! Try flat-iron straightening it, (can buy these for under $30 at Cvs%26amp;Target), and use smoothing cream to make your hair shinier %26amp;%26amp; looser. To stop the poofing, just use the smoothing cream or anti-poof (sunsilk %26amp; bed head have stuff for that) and gently smoothen it out towards the bottom of your hair.. You could also use a blow-dry brush and when your blowdrying your hair, use the brush to make your hair an even volume all around. You can also get bangs (sideswept, wispy..) to draw attention away from where it sticks out. Layers can also help to minimize the poofing.

*hope this helps*

It doesn't sound so bad... You can put some product in your hair to keep it from poufing as it dries...

SunSilk actually has a product specifically for Poufing (I says no-poufing on the bottle - its a blue bottle).

You can use curling iron to help with the flat top and give a slight curl at the end so it curls under you chin.

You can use a straightener to get a mod kind of look ( I think that is very "in" now especially since all the big bold geometic shape prints are in now).

You could buy clips or fancy bobby pins to pin the hair back from your face and keep it behind your ears.

Lots of possiblities... and It won't take too long before you can put it in a ponytail...

Good Luck

your hair was cut all wrong.

stylist should have listened to you..about length.

your hair was cut too short!

next...the stylist just blunt cut it on the bottom..which will cause it to poof out...because it was cut badly.

go to the salon..demand your money back.

take that money %26amp; go to a very good salon.

( are you in manhattan?)

the only way to get it to become sleek %26amp; stylish is to have layers put into it....subtly layered..it will look better...

tell the stylist that you do not want length taken off..but that you want subtle layers cut into your hair to make it look sleek...

once you have it layered...try bumble %26amp; bumble styling wax ( use a very very small ammount) ..( it rinses out with water)

I had the same problem! I had pretty long hair too and i went 2 JCPenney and got a haircut and OMGosh! My hair was sooo stupid lookin for like a week, i could NOT figure out what to do and then i just started to curl it everyday. If you have curly hair just wear it curly, idk what else to tell ya. Sorry bout your hair! It'll grow. Take vitamins and it'll grow faster! haha! but 4real vitamins! Good luck! :)

i have no advice for you really...straightening might make it look a little longer, but beyond that i dont know. what i do want to know is what is up with hairstylists not understanding how much i want taken off. every stylist i have ever had, when i say an inch, they take at least three.....its a little rediculous.

Maybe you could straighten it so it looks a little longer and is not as poofy on the bottom. You could also use Sunsilk Anti Poof And blow dry it into a smooth sleek style. People sat John Frieda's Frizz Ease works well too. The good thing is I'm sure if you look up pictures of stars with the same length you can get some good ideas on how they wear it. I remember Jennifer Aniston had a very cute bob.

go to garnierfructis.com and they have styling videos for any hair length

Straighten it and put a shine serum on it to make it sleek and shiny.

Just play around with it and I'm sure you will discover alot of cute styles :) Good luck
