I have extremely thick hair that I've been growing out for 7 years. I'm ready for a change

I am wanting to try a chin length, shaggy bob but my mother thinks I should stay longer since my hair is so heavy and I have a larger frame. I've loved having long hair but I get very hot with all this extra stuff on my head! It's also very hard to style (or keep a style) right now since it's hot and muggy out. Any suggestions? I have an oval face and wear glasses.

Look through a magazine, and pick out some styles, ask a beautician for some suggestions, I know that when your ready for a change then it's time to take control

Try a Buzz Cut. It's the best thing for hot weather, and it looks really cute on young women.

I also have incredibly thick hair and it's also very long. A few months ago I got it layered with a few layers, and it thinned it out some. Now I keep my shortest layer about chin length or half way down my cheek, depending on when I get it cut. My lenth is still way past my bra strap and I can wear it down durin the summer. all I have to do is straighten it in the morin. I wouldnt suggest goin dramatically short, cut a little off at a time, and see if you like. But definitely put layers in it.

Hope this helps

Whatever style you choose, please consider donating the hair you cut off to Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids. It is a very simple process ( check their web sites for instructions), and you will be doing something wonderful for a great cause.
