Went to a really expensive salon to get my blonde hair done with red underneath and big blonde chunks around the front. I have a graduated bob. The guy was ooviously drunk or something as he dyed it all red but there were bits of natural hair left and clumps that were undyed. I refused to pay and complained and I went back the next day and the senior stylist said it would need to be dyed a burgundy to cover up the awful red and then she would do the blonde chunks. I now have cherry hair which is fading badly as it's washed with a big chunk of white and yellow hair on top with red stripes through it. They charged me $185 for this crap. I've complained again and the manager now wants to get another stylist to correct it - should I let them? Can't they strip it and put it back to some form of blonde or neutralize the purple/red with some brown. Help me!

With the amount you paid for that I would let the manager get another stylist to sort it out..But tell him there's no way in hell you're paying.

you could sue them, or you could get your hair bleached and then died blonde. wait for your hair to grow back out and never go back to that salon... by the way, what is it called? (so I know not to go there)

if they messed up once, they'll mess up again. i dont think you should go back. but you should try to get your money back. or you could always dye it darker, im sure things will work out fine. just dont let the same guy do it over. haha. :]

ugh that is awful! you should go get another consultant. Chances are the salon could fix your hair but do you want to pay them? what would the cost be elsewhere?

You need to leave your hair alone for a couple of months. You are lucky it did not fall out. You have too much chemical in it, let it grow out. Chemical is very damaging. No. I would not go back to that establishment.

they should be able to strip it... i would let your hair sit for like two months because there are a lot of chemicals right now and then go back to them and let them fix it.... set an appt. for two months and no, you still shouldn't have to pay for it... it should all be free even in two months , just make sure they make a note it is thier fault so they should fix it with no charge... i really say you give it a try. i really dont think it will be tooo bad. and you need to get your money back!!!!!!!!!!!! $185 for what??!!!!

yes, they can strip it..
but i am worried for you at this point..it has been colored 2 times in a very short period..it has been subjected to treatment with bleach and processing chemicals..to have this done one more time right now could be the biggest mistake of your life..
stripping is the worst process that you can ever do to your hair..it is done with very strong bleach and basicly cooks your hair..
You will experience alot od damage and even hair loss..
I would ask for a complete refund, report them to the cosmetology board, and wait the bad color out for about a month before doing any more damage

hey i had the some what similar problem only mine turned good i have a natural dark brown hair so i only wanted to be light brunette anyways the sylist convinced me of dark caramel color i was like ya cool not too long did i realise i had a blond hair!!!! seriously i wanted to cry but anyways it's been like 2-3months i think my hair is lighter now but looks better then before ...actually beautiful thank god!! but my mistake was when that happened i should have gone to another salon ..so go to another salon and tell them what happened they will understand :)

Ugh that sucks. Well maybe the next person can help you. Make sure they tell you what they're going to do step by step and make sure it is what YOU want it to be. And if they're doing something different then don't pay and go to a different salon.

If you paid by check or debit, stop payment at your bank.
If you paid by credit card call the credit card company and stop payment.
To get rid of the color, unfortunately all you can do right now, and not toatlly destroy your bair is to select a nice brown that is a shade darker than the red and recolor your hair.
When you go to a salon to have it done, tell the stylist to do it this way.
Have them mix the coler with 10 volume peroxide (they usually use 20 or 30) You are only trying to deposit color so you don't need a high volume peroxide.
Have them add to the bottle, the same amount of shampoo.
Completely cover the hair, all at once... using 1/2 the solution. Smoosh it all in and sit at the sink.
After 10 minutes, check for coverage.
If it needs a little more brown, apply the rest of the solution and rinse after 10 minutes.
You can do it at home too.
When you buy color for at home, the peroxide is 2 ounces of 20 volume. Remove half the peroxide and replace with water..
Sorry but that is the least damaging way to lose the red, fill in the blonde and blend the undyed hair all at once.
Also,... sorry to say, if you signed anything before you had the service done, you can't collect in a lawsuit.

demand a full refund for everything and money to get it fixed and go to a different salon, if that dooesnt work tell them you will sue them, im serious, then they will give you the money in fear of you actually sueing them
